As a Staff SW Engineer specializing in Mobile Testing, SDK Development, Android, and iOS, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of Visa’s mobile and web SDK applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance test automation frameworks for Mobile and Web SDK applications.
- Perform manual testing and validation of Mobile SDK features.
- Collaborate closely with software engineers, UX designers, and product owners to drive testing and test automation strategies.
- Own the quality assurance of Mobile app & Web SDK releases, including functional, integration, system, and performance testing.
- Define and implement automation test engineering best practices, strategies, and principles.
- Execute automated and manual test scripts during Mobile releases and development sprints, identifying and documenting detailed bugs.
- Enhance test automation frameworks for continuous integration and execution models.
- Establish comprehensive test suites (unit, smoke, integration, regression, performance/load, security) for multiple applications in CI/CD environments.
- Work with development teams to implement early testing mechanisms in the software development process.
- Coordinate with Agile scrum teams on bug tracking, test prioritization, and release readiness.
- Define and track quality metrics, preparing and presenting reports on automation and manual test case statuses.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent work experience with an Advanced Degree, or PhD.
Preferred Qualifications
- 6+ years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree, or 4+ years with an Advanced Degree, or up to 3 years with a PhD.
- Hands-on experience in Mobile & Web SDK test engineering and automation using Java.
- Familiarity with Web SDK and REST API concepts.
- Proficiency in iOS and Android testing/automation frameworks such as Selenium and Appium.
- Strong expertise in manual testing and other testing techniques.
- Experience with SCRUM/Agile development and Continuous Integration tools like Jenkins.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to deliver quality documentation.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Passion for high-quality software engineering and a proactive approach to learning and growth.
