As a UI Engineer, you’ll play a crucial role in designing and developing user interfaces for our web applications. You will be responsible for translating complex problems into scalable, high-performance web solutions. Your work will directly impact the user experience for millions of users across India.
Key Responsibilities
- UI Development. Design, build, and maintain user interfaces for web applications using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Problem-Solving. Convert large, complex problems into actionable solutions, focusing on both functionality and user experience.
- Performance Optimization. Implement web performance optimization techniques to ensure fast, responsive, and high-quality user experiences.
- Framework Expertise. Leverage modern web frameworks and apply in-depth knowledge to contribute to overall design and functionality.
- Usability and Compatibility. Apply usability principles and ensure cross-browser compatibility to enhance the user experience.
- Ownership. Take ownership of multiple web products, driving their success and working closely with cross-functional teams.
- Continuous Improvement. Stay updated with the latest web technologies and trends, integrating best practices into your work.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Experience. 1-2 years of experience in web development with a focus on large-scale applications (FinTech experience preferred).
- Technical Skills. Strong knowledge of JavaScript, AJAX, HTML, CSS, and mobile-first web development principles.
- Frameworks. Experience with modern web frameworks and in-depth knowledge of at least one framework.
- Problem-Solving. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively.
- Performance. Expertise in web performance optimization, browser tuning, and multi-tier web architecture.
- Education. Solid Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design, data structures, and algorithms.
Preferred Skills
- FinTech Experience. Previous experience working in the financial technology sector is advantageous.
- Design Principles. Knowledge of usability principles and experience in creating accessible web applications.
