Meta Ray-Ban Display: The Next Step in AI Wearables

Meta Ray-Ban Display glasses combine the timeless appeal of Ray-Ban’s Wayfarer silhouette with cutting-edge technology. The glasses feature a vibrant, high-resolution monocular display discreetly embedded in the right lens. This micro display provides at-a-glance access to messages, notifications, navigation, and Meta AI prompts—all while letting wearers remain immersed in their real-world surroundings.

With just a flick of the eyes, users can preview photos, check texts, or get live translations. The sensitive, contextual display is only visible to the wearer, offering privacy with minimal light leakage. The design supports both style and utility, launching in Black and Sand colorways with two frame sizes (standard and large) and Transitions® lenses for optimal use indoors and outdoors.

Meta Neural Band: Seamless, Intuitive Control on the Wrist

Paired with the glasses, the Meta Neural Band brings science fiction-level control straight to the wrist. This advanced EMG (electromyography) wristband detects subtle muscle signals and finger gestures, allowing hands-free navigation and interactions without the need for smartphone touchscreens or buttons. Pinch, scroll, and swipe actions become second nature—users can even expect to compose text messages with finger movements in future updates.

Endurance is also a priority—the Neural Band sports an 18-hour battery life, IPX7 water resistance, and is constructed from Vectran, the same robust material used for Mars Rover landing pads. On-device AI ensures privacy, with no raw data leaving the band.

Pricing, Availability, and Launch Timeline

Retailing at $799, each package includes both the smart glasses and the Meta Neural Band. The first units hit select US brick-and-mortar stores—such as Best Buy, LensCrafters, Sunglass Hut, and Ray-Ban stores—on September 30. Verizon and other outlets will join soon after. Expansion into Canada, the UK, France, and Italy is planned for early 2026, with more regions to follow as Meta scales up distribution.

The Future of Wearables: Meta’s Vision

With the arrival of the Meta Ray-Ban Display and Neural Band, Meta now offers three key categories of AI glasses: camera AI glasses, display AI glasses, and next-gen AR prototypes. The company emphasized its investment in building foundational technology that enhances presence, connection, and intuitive experiences, paving the way for even more ambitious AR platforms on the horizon.
