Perplexity has announced the launch of its new Email Assistant, available exclusively to Perplexity Max subscribers. Designed as a powerful personal assistant for your inbox, Email Assistant transforms email from a static message center into a productivity hub.
Smarter Email Management
The Email Assistant integrates directly with Gmail and Outlook, allowing users to:
Draft replies in your own communication style.
Organize and label messages with smart categorization.
Schedule meetings by cc’ing your assistant in an email.
Summarize and prioritize important messages.
Answer questions about your inbox, e.g., “What emails should I prioritize before my board meeting?”
With auto-draft responses and tone adaptation, the assistant helps users overcome the biggest email bottleneck: getting started.

Security and Privacy
Perplexity emphasizes security as a core feature:
SOC 2 and GDPR compliant by default.
No training on user data — all interactions remain private.
Built for Productivity
Early adoption of Perplexity’s other assistants (Comet and Comet Max Assistant) showed a 3–18X increase in user task completion. The new Email Assistant aims to deliver the same acceleration for inbox management, freeing time for deeper work and strategic decision-making.
Getting Started
Max subscribers can activate Email Assistant by connecting their account via the Email Assistant Hub.
Users can begin simply by sending a message to [email protected].
From there, the assistant learns preferences and adapts over time to align with each user’s workflow.
With Email Assistant, Perplexity positions the inbox as more than a communication tool—it becomes an intelligent productivity partner.
