When we talk about building intelligent bots or copilots these days, Microsoft Copilot Studio has already made its mark. But wait—have you heard of the Copilot Studio Kit? If you're a Power Platform developer or someone diving into the world of AI-based automation, this toolset is something you really don’t want to miss!
Let’s deep dive into what this Copilot Studio Kit is all about and how it helps us create, test, and scale intelligent agents with full control and insights. 🧠⚙️
🤔 What is Copilot Studio Kit?
Think of it as a power pack built by Microsoft’s Power CAT team. It’s a comprehensive toolkit that extends the capabilities of Copilot Studio. Whether you want to test your copilot, analyze conversation KPIs, or even customize your webchat UI, the Copilot Studio Kit brings everything under one roof.
As developers, we always crave more control, visibility, and performance tuning options. This kit is all about that.
Goto power Platform Admin center and select copilot.

After the installation, we can see the app here in our environment.
Then launch the app.
🧪 Testing Capabilities – Get Confident with Your Agent
Gone are the days of trial and error. With the Studio Kit, you can now run test sets directly against your custom Copilot APIs. Want to know if your copilot is responding correctly to multi-turn conversations? No problem. This kit now supports end-to-end scenario testing using generative orchestration.
And the best part? You can plug in Azure Application Insights to enrich your test results and bring real-time telemetry to the table. Not just that, using AI Builder prompts, you can validate AI-generated answers by comparing them to sample or expected results. 👨💻✅
📊 Conversation KPIs – Measure What Matters
Monitoring chatbot performance is often a grey area for many. Copilot Studio Kit introduces Conversation KPIs, giving you a bird's-eye view of how your agent is actually performing.
No more combing through raw transcripts! You now get aggregated insights stored in Dataverse – ready to be sliced and diced as per your needs. Whether it's success rate, drop-off points, or response quality – all your metrics in one place. 📈
📂 SharePoint Sync – Smarter Knowledge Management
As someone who has worked with SharePoint-based knowledge systems, I can tell you—this feature is a blessing. Instead of just pointing to SharePoint as a source, you can selectively sync documents and pages into your copilot’s knowledge base.
Supports larger file sizes, more file formats, and even indexes PDFs and .aspx pages better than before. It’s like giving your agent the perfect knowledge library without extra plumbing. 📚🔗
💬 Webchat Playground – Styling Your Bot, Your Way
You don’t want your agent’s webchat UI to look like it’s from the early 2000s, right? The Webchat Playground allows you to easily tweak the colors, fonts, thumbnails, and even chat initials.
There’s a user-friendly UI that generates ready-to-use HTML for embedding. Now you can match the copilot’s theme with your corporate branding – no coding gymnastics required! 🎨🖌️
🃏 Adaptive Cards Gallery – Ready-Made UI Magic
UI cards can make or break the bot’s experience. The Adaptive Cards Gallery in this kit offers dozens of templates for common scenarios. From showing order summaries to dynamic alerts, you get fully working examples that show off both visual power and backend binding.
You can pick, customize, and plug into your agent’s flow. Saves tons of time! ⏱️💡
📋 Agent Inventory – Know What’s Running in Your Tenant
If you’re managing multiple custom copilots across your organization, this one’s gold. Agent Inventory provides a full view of all deployed copilots – including their features, orchestration type, authentication mode, and more.
It also includes a dashboard and export option, so your IT team can stay in the loop with governance and monitoring. 📦🖥️
🔍 Agent Review Tool – Your Agent’s Health Checkup
Before deploying to production, you need to ensure that your copilot follows best practices. The Agent Review Tool helps identify performance issues, security gaps, and anti-patterns.
It gives you a detailed report with severity levels and fix recommendations, making your agents not just smart, but also robust and enterprise-ready. 🛡️
