A multi-year IT transformation strategy will be a holistic implementation instead of a piecemeal business line strategy. It will consist of IT Consolidation, IT Rationalization, and other strategic initiatives that will help the business execution. IT will look into immediate needs, issues, technology & vendor selection, and operational needs related to storage, backup, and archival operations. IT Transformation strategy will move the enterprise, web, & database applications from Datacenter to the Cloud by implementing SAAS, PAAS, and IAAS on AWS, IBM Blue-mix, Azure, Cisco Cloud, and Google Cloud. IT Backup and Archival processes will be migrated to Cloud-based Storage and remote cloud for replication and failover. DevOps Services will be implemented for continuous integration, deployment, automation, and monitoring of the public and private cloud apps. COE Head in an enterprise will lead the initiative of the development of reference architecture blueprint and reference common data models on AWS and IBM BlueMix cloud platforms.

Digital platform strategy will improve the delivery of the desired brand experience across different touchpoints. Digital Platform is a solution for collecting, organizing, delivering, and protecting any type of enterprise asset through its lifecycle. The platform is integrated with video and audio catalogers, news aggregators, media and broadcast management solutions, video and audio editing systems, epublishing, eCommerce, digital content analysis, and analytics. Digital advertising is driven by marketing initiatives related to revenue, sales, branding, positioning, and channels.

Vertical and Horizontal channels are served by the digital platform to the end customers. Employees and company executives can collaborate with others and customers. The collaboration tools reduce the costs and also create the knowledge base for knowledge management. Enterprise Sales can communicate with the engineering teams using collaborative tools. Performance transparency is an important feature of the digital platform in enterprises. Employees in the enterprise can use digital platforms for effective and fast decisions. Enterprise employees have access to enterprise transactional applications that provide access to customers, partners, products, and processes. The front office and back-office processes are changed to integrate to transactional applications. Executives and managers can track their lines of business from different geographies and distributed systems. Digital platforms help in quick and well-thought decision making.

The multi-year IT Transformation strategy will streamline IT support and reduce cost through technology services enhancing your network, digital workplace, business resiliency, technology support besides cloud migration & management. Artificial intelligence (AI), automation (RPA), Internet of Things (IoT), Blockchain, and 5G technologies will be part of the technology strategy which will reshape standard business architectures. The goal is to make a Cognitive Enterprise composed of multiple business platforms. One or more of these will be the core or primary platform(s), providing key differentiation will leverage and access secondary and supporting platforms as well. The middle- and back-office processes and underlying technology suites will be used to partner with other industry players or third parties.
