Is Microsoft manufacturing its own
Tablet?
In a blog published on TheWrap,
it reported that Microsoft is manufacturing its own Tablet that will run
Windows 8 RT on an ARM processor. Microsoft is planning to announce this news
on Monday at 3:30 p.m. June 18 in Los Angeles.
Tablet manufactures including Samsung,
Dell, Toshiba, and HP are already building Windows 8 tablets but by having its
own Tablet, Microsoft is following the Apple's successful model that made Apple
made a fortune by selling its iPad, iPhone and iPad products.
Does that mean, Microsoft will
manufacturer its own Windows Phone too? I guess so.
In a recent launch of Windows 8
Release Preview, Microsoft announced an integration with PCs, Tablets, smart
phones, and Xbox that all share same data and files using SkyDrive and Windows
Store. This is same model what Apple has today through its iTunes and iCloud.

Microsoft didn't just announce one Surface tablet today -- it's announced one for each of the main varieties of Windows. That includes the Surface for Windows 8 Pro, which is slightly larger and decidedly more Intel-based than its ARM-fueled counterpart for Windows RT. In addition to the more full-fledged OS, it packs a larger 42 W-h battery, an Ivy Bridge Core i5 processor (at least in the model on display today), USB 3.0 ports instead of 2.0, and your choice of 64GB or 128GB of storage (double the standard offerings of the RT Surface).
