asp.net fileupload control

Question

Hello All,

I have taken asp:fileupload with the help of this control m successfully able to save image path in database
But i have 1 problem when m going to edit my data from front end m fetching all the data in control with the help of dataset but m not able to fetch the image path in fileupload control field from database

if any1 knws this plz help me out

i have 1 form like add details in that i have m using file upload control with which m storing image in database and its working fine,,,,, now my problem is that again when i have to edit the detials m fetching all the details form database at that time m getting image path null in fileupload which should not b blank that path should be come from database like all other details,,,,,m not able to do that

dear tejal please use linkbutton and given path for you file like this EmpFile/folder1/'from database to file name' ' Target="_blank" NavigateUrl=' ' runat="server">

Hello Tejal, As the name say "Fileupload". This control is used only to upload any file. If you are trying to assign it some value, then it won't work. If you want to show your image, then try using an Imagebox.
