AWS OR Microsoft AZure

Hi, I am winforms application developer having 5 years experience.

I want to switch from .net to clouds but I am still confused that which cloud technologies should have choosed AWS or Microsoft azure?

What is the future? Can I get a beginner level job? please advice.

Hi,
Will say its personal choice, like lot of people now migrating to Javascript UI development over C# or Java developer.
But to put some advice fo rcomparison -

Considering the background you can opt for AZURE.
Even for future or considering clean slate (without any background) you can go with Microsoft AZURE.

As per current situation AWS and AZURE are leading in cloud space. In some areas AWS is slightly ahead of AZURE.

But as per my knowledge for long run AZURE cloud will be more stable and will capture market.
Mostly major corporations or banks relying on AZURE as thy have tech backround of many .NET projects and trust relationship with Microsoft.

I am presently working for international bank where they have adopted Azure Stack private cloud and I am part of migration team.

It is similar to .NET vs Java or .NET vs Opensource (Angular JS or what not).
Similar to SQL/Oracle vs NO SQL NO RDBMS DataBases like mongo.

Andmarket is splitted in same manner, many small to middle scale companies will go for AWS but enterprises could go to AZURE.

So if you want to stick to Microsoft yu can go with AZURE.

Definetely MS Azure.

Very obvious and first reason is you are already developing on MS platform, MS Azure bing part of MS family integrates easily with .Net framework and Visual Studio, the learning curve will be easy for you for this reason.

then, comapring AWS to MS Azure technically and innovation wise - here too MS Azure is ahead of AWS and its industry leader. Future is very bright for Azure, compared to AWS.

Now what you want to learn in MS Azure depends on your interest as it offers many things:
you can be a Azure dev who develops solutions which run on Azure
you can be Azure IT pro who manages infrastructure on Azure (like virtual machines, SQL server, etc.)
or you can learn something new but the learning curve will be higher here like data scientist or Machine learning or big data.
but whatever choice you make, MS has free learning material for that:

All the MS Azure courses on pluralsight are free which can be assessed by above link.

don't forget to appear for a MS exam for Azure after you learn it to authenticate your knowledge.
