By clicking the IMAGE Button Textbox should display

Add a TextBox within ItemTemplate along with your ImageButton like:

ImageUrl="~/Image/edit.png"

OnClick="ImageButton1_Click" />

Then you can do like this to show the TextBox:

protected void ImageButton1_Click(object sender, EventArgs e){

ImageButton b = (ImageButton)sender;

GridViewRow row = (GridViewRow)b.NamingContainer;

if (row != null){

TextBox tb = (TextBox)row.FindControl("TextBox1");

tb.Visible = true;

}

why are you not use jquery, you can do it with the help of jquery. It is best for performance based.
