WPF, Web applications using ASP.NET and WinForms have one thing in common: .NET framework . If, you know and understand .NET framework and how to use it to build applications. WPF framework is much similar to WinForms because it is a desktop programming framework. It generates the output in a graphical applications for desktop. The binaries are much similar, the codes and the objects for the programming are much similar in WinForms and WPF. In many ways, they are different also.
