DataTable in WPF

Hi there,

I am working on a project of banking sector, for which I need to analyse there data from a text file and export it to excel sheet.

What I need is:

I had datatable filled with rows (already achieved till here), and I need to calculate that how many accounts have a range between 100-10000, 10001-50000, 50001-100000... (limiting to a range of 5).

As I am not such much familiar with datatable, can anyone help me to solve this. Any idea will be appreciated.

var rows = dt.Select ("amount>= 100 and amount <=10000");
int total = rows.Count;
rows.Count give you the count that follow with the particular range.

@Anoop, unfortunately, the replied don't get ordered properly on the page. So it is unclear to whom your post is addressed. (Include @membername at the beginning, so it is clear).

If it is me, the solution given by does exactly the same. All you have to do is print the contents of the array.

One thing I want to know, I also want to show the total no of accounts that belongs to the particular range.

Personally, I would just loop through the whole table and choose the condition in an if clause may be.

Int32[] accounts = new Int32[5];

...loop through each record.
Int32 index = -1;

if(account > 99 && account < 10001)
index = 0;
else
if(account > 100000 && account < 50001)
index = 1;

...and so on.

accounts[index] += 1;

then print the contents of the accounts array...

Hi Dear,
Please use this code first use datatable.select("Write your condition means account range ") it filter your table according your condition and store it in another DataTable object.
DataTable FilterData = dt.Select("("accounts "> '100' AND "accounts "<'10000') Or (accounts >= '100' AND "accounts "<='10000') Or ("accounts ">='10001' AND "accounts "<='50000') Or ("accounts ">='50001' AND "accounts "<='100000') ");
Bind Filterdata(DataTable).

You can try like this
var dt = new DataTable (); //assuming it has rows
var rows = dt.Select ("amount>= 100 and amount <=10000");
// rows contains all the accounts that belongs to this range
//same pattern will be follow to the rest of your condition.

Yes, accounts is one of the datatable column. Can you assist, how to achieve. I really don't understand how to do.

What is accounts here? Is it a column ?
