Developing a Visitor manager software

Question

Hi all I am a student(Beginner) learning C# . i have been given a small project to develop a visitor management software. Main features of which are that: - store a picture of the visitor using a webcam - maintain all the database who has visited and who is still in. - print a card for the same visitor. I will appreciate if anybody can help me in this regard that how to develop this small(huge for me) software. I am planning to develop this software in window based application using C#, should i take microsoft access or SQL server as the back end database. Any suggestions will be appreciated
