Enable/Disable Table on ASP.NET Page

Question

I want to Enable or Disable a table using a checkbox without having to do a Postback. Is this possible? Can anyone please help. Thank you.

I did some googling on AJAX just before I went home last night. Now... I have only recently started working with ASP again after a very long time. My knowledge of AJAX is very limited aswell. I tried getting it to work, but I must be missing something. I have a page with alot of fields for the user to fill in. After the user finished with all the fields, the data is put together and sent to an email. So what I've done is made it possible for the user to "Minimize" each section so it will be easier work. I have a Table for each section. I then use this (style="DISPLAY:none") to have every section minimized when the page loads. To make code less and less complicated I want the user to set sections "Active" or "not Active" using a asp:checkbox. I can do this, but I then need to do a Postback... then every section is minimized again. I want to do this so I can build and email with ONLY the data the user inputted and just send everything. I have not tried the javascript yet, will tonight... but won't this need a postback aswell? I can't do to much Googling at work, and I don't have net access at home. If anyone knows of an example or article I can read, that would be perfect. Thanks

You can do it using simple javascript function also. When your checkbox is checked enable the table and if it is not checked disable the table. say your checkbox id is chkEnable and table id is tblEnable.You can do it byreferring following logic. function Enable() { if(document.getElementById(chkEnable).checked==true) { document.getElementById(tblEnable).disable=false; } else { document.getElementById(tblEnable).disable=true; } }
