Error when I am hosting my ASP.NET sites

My ASP.NET site coded in C# is running fine on my local system but when I uploaded the files on the httpdocs folder through plesk/ I have a shared accounts at http://hostforlife.eu and I got the following error:

When you receive this compiler error, the first thing to check is spelling. As previously noted, the most common cause is not having the correct case for the type or namespace. If you feel certain that you have spelled the name of the type or namespace correctly (including the correct capitalization), then check the following:

Assembly Reference:

Make sure that you have referenced the assembly that contains the namespace. If you are developing in Visual Studio .NET, you can go to the Project menu and click Add Reference. On the .NET tab, choose the assembly that contains the namespace that you are trying to import, or Browse to the folder that contains the assembly. If you are using the command-line compiler, add the appropriate switch (/reference) to the compile statement.

Namespace:

Make sure that you are importing the namespace into your project by having a using statement at the top of the code file that contains the type reference, such as:

using System.Data;

If you don't have the using statement, then fully qualify the reference to the type:

Hi Suzan,

It seems that you havent deployed your files properly. Please follow this steps to publish your web application:

1. Open your project via Visual Studio tool
2. On the Solution Explorer window, right click your project and select "Publish Website"
3. Please publish your website to your local folder, such as C:\Project
4. You will see all the files and subfolders on C:\Project, however, you will not see any code-behind files
5. Please upload whatever you see on C:\Project to the server via FTP
Also, please kindly add a customError tag on your web.config so that you can view the error message directly (if in case there is an error). This can be something like:

You need to right click on your Project, and then select "Publish". You can either publish to the file system so you can alter your Web.config before you upload it to hostforlife, or you could just set it to publish to the hostforlife site. I'd choose the file system approach. One step at a time.

As you said in your comments, "I added all files and folders except for the solution file in the Projects folder", that doesn't do anything. To execute from that, it needs to run from within the Visual Studio IDE. To properly set up where all of the files are supposed to be for production use, you must Publish your web project.
