Hi All,

How to force to close the document when word document is open in word online in sharepoint online co- authoring by multiple users.

when the document is open declaring a record is not working.

Hi sowjanya

What i think currently its not possible to force stop and even if we think from business value , force may cause the data loss in case of co-authoring.

So you have to find some way, where declaring records fails because of this then you have to get user name (check if you can get co authoring users) and send them notification to close the document from their end.

Right now i am doing same in co authoring document before share it will show user name who open the document and i will send email notification with screen shot its helping.
