Hi,
In my current requirement, I am supposed to develop a software for a company. I have opted for .net and sql server.
The company has just three branches inside the city, I have opted for sql server express edition as its free.
Its going to be a desktop application, and not an web application.
Now I want that all three branches should interact the same database. I heard that using assembly.codebase we can achieve this.
Because as its a free edition the database will be in the main branch and the rest of the two branches have to deal with this database.
Kindly let me know how to do it or pls provide me with links for the same.

Thats right. One thing is make sure the SQL Server accepts the remote connections.

Hi Hemalatha,
Data Source=myServerAddress;Initial Catalog=myDataBase;User Id=myUsername;Password=myPassword
Specify the IP Address of the SQL Server database in the Data Source.
This is just like any other database. One thing is you need to make sure about Version of the Rows!! have you handled it??

Yes all will be in one single city.
Till now I have done only web application and I know to do that. Bcoz we have an IIS we will be able to connect to remote servers too, thro coding.
This one is a windows application.
Of course I will have internet connection in all the branches.
But the database should be in one branch, preferably the main branch.
How will I be able to access that database, using windows application.

If all of the cities are same network then you can have one single database
