How do we use Json for label that has value generated ?

Question

Hi experts, After thinking and trying very hard, I think I will use WebService with Json + Store Procedure to do my udpate and work flow. However, I would like to know if the label is a hidden one or the label doesn't require user to enter the text but it is based on a generated no method, how do we use Json in this case ? Hope to hear from someone soon. And please no jquery cos I will be doing several methods in the Web Service and jquery will be too messy.

Hi, I think you are doing good ,but you need to change some little bit of code, According your query just create a simple function and call web method and get data in response.

I can't hardcode my data. When I said the label already has value or data that is auto-populated from database, it means the data is not hardcoded.

Well, for one thing I want the web app to be scalable. I believe you do not need to use JQuery or Javacript to convert the label.text or label.value to transform them into Json cos I have done it in Java before. I just do not asp.net way.

Yes Jquery is a library built on top of javascript. If you dont want to use javascript then why do you want to pass data with JSON ?

Hi Nigel, Please advise how to do NOT by JQUERY. If I am going to have 3 web service methods and then I am going to write 3 times JQUERY, it is going to be huge Mess of codes....
