Hi Friends.,

How to avoid the Page Reload after loading another grid view in it's (Nested Grid view) can any one give me solution ASAP

Yeah after using Update Panel Reload is Avoided but we need to Expand and Collapse gridview for viewing but after using update panel we can't perform collapse gridview and can't expand another row in gridview, but we found the problem why this one is going to top we had declare the gridview on div
Our Div is
overflow: auto; height: 400px; ">

Because of our Overflow:auto the gridview displaying top only but not selected row (Which may be middle or in bottom) now we checking to lock the scroll

i must very thankful to you Priyaranjan to make this as good conversation just to know some thing in this

Hi Priyaranjan

we develop our Hierarchy ( Nested Grid view ) as like this as shown in Below ,for this kind of gridview only we are facing Problem that Page gets Reload by Clicking Image button to open Child gridview

So what kind of code are you using to toggle the visibility of the child GV ?

We use jquery to toggle the visibility of the Child GV which is placed in side a div within the Parent GV . We have implemented it as below :

Alignment is not Problem here, but ImageButtonfield Onclick to call a Method to Hide Child is not working we are looking to fix that Problem After Declaration of Update Panel to All gridview (Nested gridview ) or declaring UpdatePanel to Parent Grid view Same Problem occurs

and am Very Thankful to u Priyaranjan for ur Valuable time to give Some ideas as to fix the issue

This is definitely CSS issue . Put the below code in the td(or any other parent) that encloses the child grid .

This can be solved with a bit of css trial and error .

Yes by clicking some image in gvParent it should load gvChild and it's loading and Page is not reloading at this time but the gvChild is loading in first cell itself on gvParent so it's getting Alignment conflicts and screen size is Increasing

I am not clear about what you meant by node . Is it the cell where your expand/collapse button is present

Now Page is not Reloading but same Alignment issue am facing now also and we in this we can Expand only one node and we can't compress it or expand another Parent node

Hi Rajagopalan,

If you are using nested grid views. The update panels should also be Nested .

--Update Panel 1
----GridView 1
------Update Panel 2
--------Grid View 2

Also make sure to set the parent UpdatePanel attribute UpdateMode="Conditional".

We had 3 levels of nesting in one of our project and this is how we overcame the Post back issue.
Additional info : In our 3rd nested GV we had an excel export button . It had to be defined as an asynchronous post back trigger for it to work .

If it is Single grid view Update panel will work as u said it is nested Gridview it's Showing Alignments conflicts in it.

Hi Rajagopalan ,

You may use updatepanel and place the grid view within this update panel . Whenever the post back has to be made from the grid view , this will not refresh the page .Check this out :
