How to blink textbox in c#GUI???

Question

How to blink a textbox in c#GUI if user enters wrong username or password or it is left blank it should show blink & show a lable msg(worng username & password or textbox is left empty)???????

In the case of my code, it's probably because you've set the timer's Enabled property to 'True' in the Properties Box. It should be set to 'False'. In the case of Satyapriya's code, change Form1_Load to: private void Form1_Load(object sender, EventArgs e) { timer1.Enabled = false; } and then start the timer in the same place as you start mine.

1-Satyapriya mam it just start blinking when I run the program even I have to fill any details in the textbox. What 2 do???? 2-Vulpes Sir even in your code it just start blinking when run(F5) the program ???

To blink the textbox, add a timer to your form and set its interval property to 300 ms say. In the eventhandler where you're validating the input, start the timer if the validation fails: timer1.Start(); Now place the following code in the timer's Tick handler and add the private field 'blink': private int blinks = 0; private void timer1_Tick(object sender, EventArgs e) { textBox1.Visible = !textBox1.Visible; blinks++; if (blinks > 10) // stop after 3 seconds, say { timer1.Stop(); textBox1.Visible = true; textBox1.Focus(); } }
