How to log in with a user ID instead of an email address?

Very many questions are posted in the forum (category) that they do not belong in. It is very typical. Also, all questions are put in the same lists (in the "Forum Home") without the category of each question shown. Therefore it is typical for people to not look at the category.

The purpose of this forum (Bugs and Problems) is unclear. It would really help if the purpose was clarified. I created a thread somewhere asking for clarification. I think that if someone were to simply answer that question with clarification then that would help, so that at least some of us would know what the intended purpose is of forums such as this.

I don't see anything wrong in Sam. He is absolutely correct and had pointed your mistake. Questions/doubts should be clear for getting faster solutions. Let me say no one is 100% perfect in this world.

louarnold - Being a good human, saying sorry is nothing but it reflect your greatness. Sam is very senior and experienced expert, his straight-forward style might hurt you, but his heart is full for support.
      For your kind information, I am here giving some previous threads posted in this category though they not belongs. This site cover for a beginner to experts. Sometimes in hurry or whatever reason, questions are posted in this category, so shouldn't they answered ?

This subforum is entitled "Site And Forums FeedBack - Bugs and Problems". To me, that means we are not talking about program bugs.
Now its clear that Predeep misunderstood, but not knowing the forum very well, he might have been expressing a sense of humor. That's something I always appreciate.

But of course Sam Hobbs had to step in a make a federal case out of this small misunderstanding. I guess he has little else to do but step in act a knight in shining armor. Perhaps if he read the forum topic he might have thought a bit more. In any case, now we know to ignore Sam in the future.

Have you heard of Garbage In, Garbage Out (GIGO)? The output you get depends on the input you supply.

Please read your own question. It is vague; as Pradeep says, you did not describe the problem adequately. So instead of saying "Are you kidding me?" a better response is to say "I am sorry for not being clear in my question.".

Are you kidding me? This has nothing to do with code or functionality.

I am talking about how to log onto the C# Corner Forum with a user name and not an email address.

The login is totally dependent on the logic you have in place for login functionality. You must be using email id to check for login.

Can you provide more details on the logic you are using. The code sample will be better to identify.
