how to read the value using properties ??

According to your Question we use properties becasue to provide securtiy over the data-member of the class,so now might be you thinking that then what's the difference between variable and properties,  Variable are which directly defind under class without having any get or set accessor, so we can not provide any security over the variable, where as in case of properties we can create the properties with get and set accessor , due to this reason we have security over data, and we decided whether to give get accessor or set accessor.

 

i wants to read only not write...

If we want read only property then defind the properties by following way:-

public int x{

get

{

return x;  

}

}

so hear i can only allow to read the value of x inside any class due to get accessor, but don't allow to change the value of x.

 Another Important thing to remember is that  while we creating properties we are allow to provide the properties according to our condition for eg:

public class Date { 
private int month = 7;  // Backing store    
  public int Month     
{         
get         
{             
return month;     
 }
 set    
  {
 if ((value > 0) && (value < 13))   
       
{ 
  month = value; 
}
}
}
}
