how to reduce the time (if the total time is 8 hours the employee login the id we hav that login time from that time employee logout the id find that difference ) in asp.net using c#

Hi Selvi,

You can find the C# code

TimeSpan diff = secondDate - firstDate;
double hours = diff.TotalHours;

or

DateTime tStart = 7/29/2005 7:22:39 PM;
DateTime tEnd = 7/29/2005 8:59:49 PM;
TimeSpan diff = tEnd.Subtract(tStart);

You can do same thing on the sql server

select DATEDIFF(hh, @date1, @date2) as Hours_Difference

If you are maintaining a database for this you can achieve this as follows when user logged in save the current time to that table and when user logged out get the current time and check with the logged in time which is already in DB. Find the difference
