how to replace negative record with positive ?

in my database there is an amount column which has some negavtive records not all are negative some are positive as well,

i want to replace only the negative records into positive and positive records to be remain the same.

Hey in simple do this

SELECT ABS(-5) AS AmountA and just put your coloumn in -5 it always return positive numbers

SELECT ABS(tbl2.a) AS AmountA, ABS(tbl2.b) AS AmountB

like i have a column with the name amount having records

eg.
Amount
1
2
3
-4
5
6
-7

i want to replace all negative value with positive
in above eg -4,-7 is negative so it should be replaced with 4 and 7 rest will remain the same.

moreover , you want to replace negative value with what numbers i mean you want just like this
like -5 replace with 5 or you want -5 replace with 0 .please send some snippit
