How to save two columns data in one

In infopath form I have App ID drop-down field.

1) If I select any particular ID then ok it is saving in APPID column only

2) But, if I select “Other” option then another blank form will appear and it is saving in another column that is not requirement It would be save in APPID column only.

Hi Tahmidul,

yes i have two fields 1) APPID and 2) others

APPID (Drop-Down)- values : others,App000,App1111

When i select Others new fields is appear which name is others. user manually enter number.

as per user suggestion :
i need to manage rule on submit button

Manage Rule-no condition-select action-Select field value-??

Hi Netaji - there is no reference URL mate :-) by looking at your scenario considering two forms or view - I have designed this with my own,if I was assigned this task I would have thought this way :-)

Hi Netaji Junghari,
As you have already sucessfully able to save the value in two other column.
Lets let it be.

Then Wrtite a rull(Action) on submit as if the "Other" text box has any value, that will set/save in the APPID column.

I believe the "other" is one of the drop down value in AppID ddl.I think your second form is not needed while selecting the "other" option until it has some business requirements. I will explain in both the scenario with second form and without second form:The below approach will work for the scenario :create a tempappid infopath hidden field... in App Id ddl add set value rule and assign the value of ddl selection and while user select "other" option dynamically open a view not new form and that view in which column user select AppID is other... assign the field value to the tempinfopath field you created using set field value.... and finally promote this tempfield to share app id column.... so in whichever form user select value internally it is mapped with single tempcolumn which is mapped to SharePoint column. Sorry for the typos or bad english if any - replied from Android.
