Hi folks I am making a library management project using Asp.net guys the problem is that after login into admin account I want to disable backward navigation,the user will allow only to navigate into system only as after sign out he can go back. Thanks :) Awaiting for your helpful replies

Hi Akash!

Well yes that's possible. You can try adding this script to your master window.
"text/javascript">

    var storedHash = window.location.hash;

    function changeHashOnLoad() { window.location.hash = "1";}

    window.onhashchange = function () {

        window.location.hash = storedHash;

    }





"changeHashOnLoad(); ">



Basically, it will change the hash when the page loads and also recent page history by adding "1" to the URL. So same page will be redirected everytime user clicks the back button. Try this and let me know if you still face any issue.

Hi Akash,

Please find link for disbale backward button for both scenario before login and after log out.

After log out alos it should not allow other wise it will login without asking password and username if browser used chache data.

Hi.Mehreen is this possible by some how when the user press the backward button still he lands on master window??

One way to do that is to diable the browser's backward button. You can add
"window.history.forward();">
to the tag in the page where you want to diable backward navigation. Or you can use the following script.

   function noBack()
   {
       window.history.forward()
   }
   noBack();
   window.onload = noBack;
   window.onpageshow = function(evt){ if(evt.persisted) noBack(); }
   window.onunload = function(){ void(0); }
Though diabling navigation is not a good idea from user perspective.
