.NET Core supports similar objects as .NET framework did for cryptography so you can use the same one. For example, have a look at the following objects on MSDN, https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dotnet/core/api/system.security.cryptography.symmetricalgorithm https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dotnet/core/api/system.security.cryptography.asymmetricalgorithm These are the algorithms that are used in .NET Core for symmetric and asymmetric cryptographic. However, .NET Core objects are all implemented fully so that you don't have to worry about maintaining and implementing it.
