Hi,
Here is illustration. In our carrier life we often switch between money and good work. Sometimes we need money as high priority whereas sometimes starving for good work. I am trying to make you understand these situations as per my own experience.
Money: Usually money can be earned by settling our position into a company and get relaxed. This would help you to get money with (may be) less effort since you are already know all processes and steps to be followed. This provides you regular salary but gradually keep rust on other areas which you are not working. But could be good in terms of product expertise.
Good Work: This can be achieve by your efforts only. Like if you are skilled person and well known within the team, you could be chosen much by your manager, and even if you did good job in most of the participation, there is high chance to get promoted in terms of designation and monitoring. Although it is not 100% true but eventually you get the benefit of being skilled army man in your team.
In your situation, you should keep continue your job and try to give yourself a deadline for some sample task. Now there are various ways to assign yourself a deadline -
1) Pick any real time small situation and think about solution first. Narrow down requirement and start implementing it. You can ignore UI design and layout initially.
2) Ask http://www.c-sharpcorner.com experts to suggest you for good sample task. I am sure you will definitely get help by this ocean pearls.
3) Find out what all sections you have fear about. Search some tutorials and generate a task using the same section/feature.
Well said by someone .. "where there's a will there's a way". If you really want to get everything well, your hard work would require here.
Hope this post may help you to choose a best way to improve and brush-up your skills.
Good Luck!
