To Kill the particular task in Production machine via Automa

Hi,

I have the task running in Production. If more order is there then more instance will run for that task. If more instance are running and i want to kill the task for particular order via automation.How i will be able to do this.

Please advise.

Hello Sandeep,

The easiest way to write powershell script and scheduled it using windows scheduler. Below is example how you could write simple powershell script to kill task. it is also possible to kill process on remote server using powershell howerver, there are certain permission required to execute it.

To get it done, get all running processes by name and then kill the instance by process id.

Thanks for the helpful information. Just i want to add a point here. I have created a C# code for kill the task and it is working as excepted but while trying to kill the task it is killing all running task. i want to kill particular instance for that task. Suppose 3 instance are running for one task. i want to kill 1 task out of three. How to do this.
