Totally unaware about the technologies

No problem at all. First of all, my suggestion to you would be, to focus on your studies and forget about the market because you need to understand what software engineering is all about. Hopefully, your teachers will explain everything to you so that you can easily get started with what you face in the future.

Then, if you ask about the recent technologies, then Komal, there are quite a lot of technologies around, in the market. The most prominent ones are:

Cloud platforms -- gone are the days of physical servers.
Cross-platform mobile applications.
Data science and machine learning -- artificial intelligence is old school now!
Virtual reality -- AR/VR; Microsoft HoloLens for instance.

There are a lot of changes being implemented, and even the most simple of the processes are being taken to digitalization. Being a student of software engineering -- or computer science -- it is your duty to understand how a computer can help, you, your customers and their business. If you can't answer that, sadly you will fail just the way Nokia did.

I will repeat, as a student you should only face and worry about the studies. However, once you enter the professional life, you should spend 30mins to 1hr regularly, just studying the shift of markets, understand how a language changes, how the demands of customers are changing and what tools are people more interested in.

Thankyou Afzaal sir for your guidance. I surely make sure that i keep concentrating on my studies so shall when it comes to the face the market technologies and problems i be very much prepared about that.
