What should I do before I start in Xamarin?

Honestly, right now I cannot afford a powerful laptop to start Android/iOS development. But I have a computer which in there Visual Studio 2010 has been installed. I can work with Console, Windows Forms without a problem.

Till getting a good computer what should I learn in order to get well prepared? I have basic practice in C# programming. Thank You!

To start Xamarin,essential c# and XAML knowledge is required if you have good knowledge in c# then its easy to develop Xamarin Apps

Xamarin is a platform to create multi-OS apps
It allows you to create a single application, that can work across iOS, Android and Windows phone.
In order to develop these applications, you use C# and XAML.
XAML acts as the markup and data binding language for the phone app, and C# acts as the server side language.
