Apple Intelligence is Apple’s leap into on-device AI, offering users new ways to interact, create, and manage their digital lives. Starting today, developers can begin testing, with a public rollout for supported devices and languages set for this fall.

Last year, we took the first steps on a journey to bring users intelligence that’s helpful, relevant, easy to use, and right where users need it, all while protecting their privacy. Now, the models that power Apple Intelligence are becoming more capable and efficient, and we’re integrating features in even more places across each of our operating systems.

We’re also taking the huge step of giving developers direct access to the on-device foundation model powering Apple Intelligence, allowing them to tap into intelligence that is powerful, fast, built with privacy, and available even when users are offline. In Messages: Instantly translate outgoing and incoming texts as you type or receive them, delivered in the recipient’s preferred language.

Apple is expanding these capabilities to eight new languages by year’s end, including Danish, Dutch, Norwegian, Portuguese (Portugal), Swedish, Turkish, Traditional Chinese, and Vietnamese.

Creativity Unleashed: Genmoji and Image Playground

Apple is taking self-expression to new heights with updates to Genmoji and Image Playground:

Genmoji: Users can now mix emojis with text descriptions to create personalized, animated emojis. Adjust expressions, hairstyles, and more to match your friends and family.

Image Playground: Tap into new artistic styles—including oil painting and vector art—powered by ChatGPT. The “Any Style” option lets you describe your vision, and Apple Intelligence generates a unique image, always with user consent and privacy.

• Instant Search: Highlight objects or products and search for similar items on Google, Etsy, or other supported apps.
• Contextual Actions: Recognize events in messages or images and suggest adding them to your calendar, automatically extracting key details.
• Ask ChatGPT: Get instant answers or deeper insights about anything you’re viewing, directly from your screen.

Privacy: The Gold Standard in AI
