MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. — February 2026 — Google has officially opened registration for Google I/O 2026(May 19 at 10am PT), inviting developers worldwide to get ready for its annual showcase of new technologies, product updates, and AI advancements.

Google I/O 2026 will feature keynotes, technical sessions, and hands-on content focused on the company’s latest innovations across Android, web, cloud, AI models, and developer tools. As in previous years, the event will include both in-person experiences at Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View and a global online livestream.

The company signaled that artificial intelligence will once again play a central role in this year’s conference. Developers can expect updates across Gemini models, AI tooling, and platform integrations that aim to make building intelligent applications more accessible and scalable.

Google is encouraging developers to register early, explore session previews, and participate in community activities leading up to the event. The conference typically includes deep dives into Android, Chrome, Firebase, Google Cloud, and emerging AI capabilities, alongside product demos and roadmap announcements.

I/O also serves as a launchpad for new APIs, SDKs, and platform updates that shape the developer ecosystem for the year ahead. Google said more details about keynote speakers, technical tracks, and featured announcements will be shared closer to the event date.

With registration now open, Google I/O 2026 is positioned to continue its role as one of the industry’s most closely watched developer events, particularly as AI becomes more deeply embedded across Google’s products and platforms.
