You cannot compare SSDs with HDDs on the basis of disk space. What you will need to compare is feature.

Just as an example, with SSDs, it will be possible for you to turn off your computer with all your programs, spread sheets open and they all will be in same state when computer is turned on again. Hope you get an idea.

Furthermore the speed of disk I/O will be super-fast with SSDs as there are no mechanical moving parts. This will also affect the life span as well.

HDD is usually used in our PC
