Angular v1 routing event fire before and after

is there any way exist in angular to capture when user click on link to change route ? i want to fire a event before when user click a link and after ? please suggest me a way with example. thanks

i always prefer angular core routing ... since i think any complex situation can be handled in that... if u face really hard on it then u can also UI routing which is also good.

angular version 1+ is it better to use UI-routing in angular1 instead of core routing because i heard complex scenario can not be handle by core routing......what is your suggestion. thanks
