Autocomplete is not working with my web app

What issue you are facing, in that article if you are following you need to create a web service first and a web method of name GetData() or the name whatever you want to give the name of that webservice.

 

First create a webservice, then you need to give the reference of that web service to your application. You also need to add endpoint in your web.config file.

 

I think you have not created web service in your machine so it is not working. Create that web service first then it will work.
