By Using DropDownList how to display the data from database

I have a dropdownlist it contain 1.Today 2.Next Week 3.Next Months 4.Last Week 5.Last Month Values there now in my database i store date,leaves this two columns are there if any one click on dropdownlist 1.Today means it have to show who are absent ,Last week It have to show last week who are absent in last week please help me.
