C# User Controls - VB.Net page

Hi, I am leading two application teams at the same time. The first application has the presentation layer in ASP.NET using C# in the code-behind file. The other team uses VB.Net. If User Controls are developed in C#, can they be used in an ASP.Net page which has it's code behind file in VB.Net ? Any know issues / problems ? An urgent response would be greatly appreciated ! Just include the project for the control into the solution and make it compile first, but make the other project run first. I have written a Class library in C# and the test application in VB and I run these together in the same solution.

I have the similar question/problem: Can I have a set of aspx pages compiled in a separate dll?

Answer : YES ! But they have to be in seperate compiled .dll 's For the sake of others who might find them selves in a similar position, a step by step approach : 1. Create a new C# Web Control Library. 2. Copy the .ascx, .ascx.cs and .ascx.resx files to the location of the C# Web Control Library. 3. Add the web controls to the C# library. 4. Compile the project to get a .dll 5. Copy the .ascx, .ascx.cs and .ascx.resx files to the VB.Net Project Directory. 6. Copy .dll to the bin directory of the VB ASP.Net project. 7. Add C# user controls to the project. Bingo ! Note : Just adding XXXXX.ascx to the project without including the XXXXX.dll to the bin directory would cause an error on the page.
