Guys I am Using VS 2010 and trying to install "Microsoft ASP.Net signalr" library in my C# Application to build Signalr application But it gives me following error..

Install failed. Rolling back...

Could not install package 'Microsoft.Owin.Security 2.1.0'. You are trying to install this package into a project that targets '.NETFramework,Version=v4.0', but the package does not contain any assembly references that are compatible with that framework. For more information, contact the package author.

Even I tried it with

Package manager console...

it gives same error....

I try to add framework 4.5 in VS but it not possible for that I have installed MS VS 2010 Service pack 1 but still its not working...

I am attaching screenshot for reference, Kindly help me out with solution

@Nitin sir : i have refered that link, it explains a lot about my issue...
@Apurba : i already done with that but it not helps me , because i need OWIN startup class and after addingVersion 1.1.3 i am not able to find Owin. So i searched for further versions of signalr...

Hi Dinesh,
your Visual studio version 2010 and you are trying to install SignalR 2.1.0
Try installing a different version of signal r with this command (via nuget package console) 'install-package Microsoft.AspNet.SignalR -Version 1.1.3'.
Latest version of signalr requires .net4.5but you dont have that.

Microsoft ASP.NET SingnalR is fairly latest feature. If your organization (or you) want to explore and implement latest features with earlier version, older tools that wouldn't be possible, isn't it?
I am not aware of size of your organization, but it is possible to use up-to 5 installations of Microsoft Visual Studio 2015 Community Edition absolutely free if the turn-over of your organization is less than a million dollars.
I have already seen the screen shot, the error is quite clear. No need of any further explanation. Did you see the link I provided?

And i am not able to update my VS studio 2010 to next versions because my organisation not allow to do that.

Any reason why you are not upgrading Visual Studio Version? Just curious.
