Crystal Report: Format Horizontal Alignment

Question

Hello, Is there a way to format the data when it is passed into the Crystal Report(CR).. for example.. In the original table, a number may be left aligned, how to change it to right alignment?.. in other words I want to change it's 1. Format: Horizontal Alignment 2. from Left To Right 3. if the data passed in is an Integer, Currency, or DateTime. thanx

hello, that's what I am thinking of doing. However, what exactly the formula for it?? I do not know crystal syntax and all the vb code that I tried doesnt work... Thanks

I'm not sure, you could try to put that formula in the Conditional Formatting section of the field?

Hello, The situation is like this: During Design Time, I wanted to insert the formula into the field,so that it will align according to the format that i want when the program runs. Wiggum, can this be done?

Sorry blackdevil, I do not believe Nikon understood your question. I've tried to manipulate the Crystal Report fields in Runtime (which is what you are asking) and have never had any success. The only time you can modify these fields is in Design Time, which is obviously simple, however not the solution you are looking for. Unfortunately, there are only two options. Either create your own reporting class for building reports, which will include the functionality that you require, or you will have to create multiple reports with the Crystal Reports generator. You could use the Standard Toolbar on the top of your screen, to choose left align, right align or center. Just a thought.
