Crystal Reports and using CLOBS

Hi there I have a requirement to produce Crystal Reports (for VS 2003) that access XML data held in a SQL Server 2000 CLOB data types. Only Business Objects don't think this can be done directly with their drivers. So I am left using a DataSet to read the CLOB data? Any pointers would be useful not to mention the odd code example Regards Daniel
