FTP location to DB

I am thinking if this is possible using C#. i will be recieving pdf with certain naming convention for example work_order_serial-no into our ftp folder , Whenever a new file is arrived or copied onto the ftp location, i need to send this file as hyperlink location to one of fields in database table where the matchin work order and serial number are available.
