How test data in table with Insert new data with use c#

Hi Guys

I need to to test data in the table , is this Exist or not with validations should be appear to users.

also code must be work with high functionality .

You can use if not exist condition prior to insert a new statement
IF NOT EXISTS (SELECT * FROM employee WHERE employeeID = @Id)
-- INSERT QUERY HERE

Thank to all programmers prticipate to solve problem , but i know already how to insert , select , update , Delete .
but i need to write messages or validations to user i need applied to good functionalty of the application .
sorry my language is very weak , i hope you are understand what did i mean exactly .

Yes, both the query's should be combined and execute it at once. It will insert when data doesnot exists.

For Example :
if i want to insert new employee , firstly i need to test is this employee exist already in the table.

Please elaborate! Where you want to check the existence? Array, database?
