How to get start

Hi Mr. author, I'm a new user in the .Net world. I have a good ground in programming. I want your advice how to get start in C# after reading a book. My problem is, that I'm afraid to with no map of the programming and this will not make me agood programmer. Please write me steps to know the class hirarchy, kind of aplication to begin .
