I have 2 object of same class as following in c#.

Myclass obj1=new Myclass(); Myclass obj2=null; obj2 =obj1; obj1 .Name="abc"; //"abc" will also assign to obj2.Name. When I assign obj1.Name="abc", it will also assign to obj2.Name. I want to stop this. I have tried by const, sealed but I am not getting result. Can anybody suggest me how to stop reference of obj1 on obj2?

Right now problem is you are assigning reference of one object to another object that is the reason when you change property of one object it affect other object. To avoid this you need to clone of object. so you code will be Myclass obj2= obj1.Clone(); check on msdn for cloning : https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/system.object.memberwiseclone%28v=vs.110%29.aspx this is example of Prototype pattern.

The way you have it obj2 points to obj1. You need to create a new instance to get the effect you need, namely two separate class instances. Myclass obj1 = new Myclass(); Myclass obj2 = new Myclass(); obj1 .Name="abc"; Another way would be to implement cloning, so you can do something like this: Myclass obj1 = new Myclass(); Myclass obj2 = obj1.Clone(); obj1 .Name="abc"; The Clone() method creates a new instance and copies all values from the source object to the target object.
