Is Java script is single theaded or multithreaded ?

Ok i will consider it's event driven programming, still i have doubt, same question is asked in one of my interview question .ok consider my page contains four widgets and all widget contains server call method, so in this case if I click/or submit one widget what will be the behavior of other three widget or page until the my first call request\response is in progress/period.
