LINQ to SQL performance info needed

Question

Hi all,

Can anyone give me more info or links that might help on what LINQ can handle with regards to dataload in the db and speed compared to the normal stored procedures that gets called from your code?

If a table has 1 500 000 entries, how will LINQ perform when a search is done on the table? What would be the best path to take to get your results back the quickest way possible?
