Make normal PDF to read only PDF.

Hi,

I have 100 PDF's in one folder. I want to make them read only in another folder. Please give me a code.

You can modify the security options of the PDF file itself. Using LEADTOOLS SDK, you can encrypt PDF files and disable options like (editing, copying, printing, etc).
The code would be very simple as follows:
string sourceFileName = @"c:\temp\Leadtools.pdf";
string destinationFileName = @"c:\temp\LEAD_EncryptedNoPrint.pdf";

PDFFile pdfFile = new PDFFile(sourceFileName);

// Set the security options
pdfFile.SecurityOptions = new PDFSecurityOptions();
pdfFile.SecurityOptions.UserPassword = "LEAD";

//Disable printing
pdfFile.SecurityOptions.PrintEnabled = false;

pdfFile.SecurityOptions.HighQualityPrintEnabled = false;
pdfFile.SecurityOptions.EncryptionMode = PDFEncryptionMode.RC128Bit;

// Encrypt the file by saving it to the destination file
pdfFile.Convert(1, -1, destinationFileName);

Actually, we have to give it to others in encrypted format that others can not copy and convert it into other formats.

try this code with spire.pdf.dll
PdfDocument pdf = new PdfDocument();
pdf.LoadFromFile("sample.pdf");

//set encryption level
pdf.Security.KeySize = PdfEncryptionKeySize.Key256Bit;

//set an ownerpassword, which will forbid other users from processing the document
pdf.Security.OwnerPassword = "test";

pdf.SaveToFile("result.pdf");

Edit your Read and Write permission of the File by going to File Setting >> Security and change the permission
