My .exe only works on my computer??? WHY???

I built the program under the release function. Ran it on my computer and it works perfectly then I bring it to another computer and it has fatal exceptions. What is going on here and how do I fix it? Thank you all for the help you've already given me I just need this last piece and I should be fine. Thank you.

Whether you use the CD install, or you just download it from Windows Update, the .Net Framework MUST be installed on any machine that is going to run a .Net app. There is no way to run a .Net app on a non-.Net machine. The framework is what runs the show, so to speak.

no the .net framework is not installed on this other machine. but I want to be able to build a program that is universal and where you don't have to install the .net cdrom everytime you want to use a program on another machine. Obviously I must not be grasping something here since a lot of windows programs are written in .net and you don't need install the .net cd in order to run these programs. Help me please!!!

We probably need a bit more information...what are the fatal errors you're getting... are you sure the .Net Framework is installed on this other machine, do you have any other dependancies?
