My dsktop computer goes into sleep mode almost immediately every time I pause on whatever it is I'm working on causing me to have to
click n WiFi and retype my pass code. I have tried numerous times to reset sleep and power times with no success. I even chose
the "never" option and it still goes instantly to sleep mode.

please check the task scheduler. if any task in task scheduler Library for automatic restart or sleep. you are requested to disable them.
